The Journey of a Movement tends to be defined by specific steps.

1. The Big Idea

An inspiring figure or figureheads introduce a revolutionary approach pledging a panacea for disconnected individuals.

So here we are. Preparations are underway to challenge the establishment overseas. Pressure is mounting. Smoke is rising from the sidelines. One individual, exposed, shivering, the phrase ATTACKING MINDSET written on his body as a statement, has stumbled through the lines and is taken aside in secrecy to a different team elsewhere.

Do you ever miss the beginning, when optimism reigned? The initial phase, of pure instinct.

2. The Honeymoon Phase

Team architects guarantee a reboot, optimism ahead, support, redemption together united in belief in the philosophy.

What was this thing at first? Players celebrating enjoying success. Ink. Muscles. Focus. Confident masculinity. Of course, England’s players insist it’s not a real term, ironically since it’s not recognized, what did we see?

Yet it’s clear its essence. It’s the batsman executing a stroke so unconventional it defies description. It’s the excitement of the leader at his peak, a look that says: thoughtful warrior, strong features, untamed style, genuinely raw you half-expect to look down and find him positioned in the field shirtless and cradling a wild salmon.

It’s the opener continuing to have permission speaking publicly, appearing as a happy little woodland creature formally attired, expressing thoughts like we’re breaking down traditions. Certainly, the vibe, initially, was uplifting.

3. Expansion Period

Building period. Unity enforced via memorization of key phrases. These beliefs may seem irrational as a test of “true belief”.

Is it just me? The backlash, the anger, the feeling of letdown post-defeat feels overblown, overdone. England batted badly on the field, as is typical there. The team have been isolated within this world since childhood. In trying to escape from it, to build a better atmosphere, they are simply replicating their upbringing, creating another a bubble, an exclusive group, however with a modern squad and a leader promoting authenticity as long as yourself is quite a lot like myself.

Live where your feet are. Embrace challenges. Despite efforts, you’re always basically in the same place.
